N-Sea Group has partnered with Geo Plus to begin a long-term charter of the Dutch-flagged vessel Geo Ranger, a hybrid survey and remotely operated vehicle (ROV) support vessel.

The vessel is reportedly equipped with smart onboard technology, comprising various sensors and a plug-and-play system for additional, project-specific customer equipment. The Geo Ranger has been designed with a high workability of up to 2m significant wave height. To ensure streamlined (de)mobilization, the vessel has several solutions for quick and safe installation of equipment. Furthermore, it is fitted with high-class survey equipment.

According to the company, the vessel’s DP station-keeping capabilities, overall length (LOA) of 41.60m, 8.70m width and working draft of 2.25m make her the ideal vessel to operate in the North Sea, Baltic Sea, Irish Sea and Mediterranean Sea. Alongside this, the Geo Ranger is a fuel-efficient vessel that uses diesel/electric propulsion for low fuel consumption. It also features heat recovery and LED lighting and uses biodegradable oil. Furthermore, the vessel is equipped with an 8T A-frame suited for towing, geotechnical surveys and other subsea activities.

N-Sea will have the vessel under full management and control.
