New ownership fuels PM machine and marine drive innovations
In February 2024, BEMAC Corporation and Mitusi & Co., Ltd. purchased 100% of The Switch shares. The change promotes the development and growth of The Switch and its marine industry offering.
The Switch brand name will be again used as the company name. All products will be marketed under the BEMAC brand.

Innovative permanent magnet machines (PMM)
The Switch is the market leader in advanced PMM technology with more than 300 inline shaft generator orders for shaft generators. It also provides PM propulsion motors for electric vessels. The technology cuts costs, saves fuel and reduces emissions.
Direct-current distribution converters (DC-Hubs)
The Switch has almost 20 years of rugged, field-proved experience with marine drives. Currently, over 1,500 single drives and DC-Hubs operate on hundreds of vessels.
Marine AC single drives
A standard drive for specific marine applications up to 6 MW, this special marine design makes no compromise.
Full suite of protection devices
The Switch’s unique protection devices for marine drives provide a smooth ride through the waves with existing and future energy sources.
