EXPO NEWS: CALB presents lightweight containerized battery system with 12-year warranty

CALB traveled from China to Amsterdam to present its new high-capacity lightweight containerized battery system, tailor-designed for marine environments. The system comes with a 12-year warranty with integrated cell-level thermal insulation and cluster-level fire protection. CALB  claims the containerized system is 1-2 tons lighter than comparable box-type power units, while a walk-in design facilitates easy battery pack removal and maintenance in any scenario.

“We’ve had a lot of interest here at AMT due to the system’s reduced weight, which is considerably lighter than others in the market; and our warranty, which is top level for the industry,” explained Xiangyu Tan, marketing, CALB Group. “We also offer walk-in maintenance, whereas most other systems must be maintained from the outside, which can make it much harder to replace broken packs. Integrators and boat builders also like the idea they can buy it before they build, and then just install it as the main power source or to help with hybridization.”

CALB is exhibiting on Booth 7050.
