Advanced Maritime Technology Expo 2026 opened at RAI Amsterdam this morning as the international maritime industry gathered to explore the latest advances in technology during three days of technical discussions, product briefings, product launches and live system demonstrations.
Bringing together stakeholders from across the maritime sector, the event provides a platform for knowledge sharing, business development and industry collaboration, helping to build new relationships and strengthen existing connections across the maritime community.
Here are just a few highlights of what expo visitors have been enjoying already on Day 1.

ShoreLink deploys automated ChargeLink systems for Eckerö Line’s Finlandia
ShoreLink has two shore power developments on show: a refreshed design of its proven RoRoLink fixed dispenser, offering a cleaner, more contemporary exterior but the same reliable engineering and performance; and examples of the 6.5MVA automated ChargeLink systems supplied to Eckerö Line’s Finlandia on the Helsinki-Tallinn route. This latter solution will enable battery charging at both ports, supporting frequent passenger and freight operations.
Sales and marketing representative Andriana Chupova commented, “The shore power pavilion has attracted strong interest today, with many discussions focused on shore power technology and upcoming projects. It’s clear that ports and ship operators are actively looking for practical solutions to support decarbonization and compliance goals.”

ACTech showcases bionic design
ACTech is at the expo to demonstrate how bionic design can move from concept to manufacturable reality. In collaboration with IAMT, ACTech has produced a complex cast component, achieving a 20% weight reduction and over 200% increase in stiffness compared with conventional designs, by placing material only where structurally required. The results speak for themselves: improved component performance, reduced material usage and shorter development cycles.
Carolin Neumann, head of sales, Europe, commented, “The show is a great place to gain insights on the latest developments in the maritime industry. By meeting industry experts and having face-to-face conversations, we can discuss current challenges, new ideas and shared opportunities for future projects.”

Advanced pilot assistance from Orcauboat
Orcauboat is at Advanced Maritime Technology Expo 2026 to present its advanced pilot assistance system (APAS), highlighting a scalable approach to safer and smarter vessel operations.
The APAS portfolio spans three solutions covering uncrewed surface vessels, yachts and official boats, and commercial ships. Powered by AI and a multisensor suite, including 4D millimeter-wave radar, marine cameras and lidar, the system delivers real-time perception, decision-making and control in complex environments, supporting functions such as autonomous navigation, berthing and unberthing, obstacle avoidance, vessel following and dynamic positioning. Together, these capabilities enhance situational awareness, improve operational efficiency and support the maritime industry’s ongoing shift toward increased automation and autonomy.
Commenting on the company’s presence at the show, Janet Gao, global marketing director, Orcauboat, said, “We’re excited to be exhibiting at the Advanced Maritime Technology Expo and engaging with maritime professionals from around the world. Visitors are showing strong interest in how AI-powered navigation technologies can be applied across different vessel types, and it’s encouraging to see the industry actively embracing safer, smarter and more autonomous maritime operations.”

EST-Floattech introduces next-generation battery modules
EST-Floattech is at AMT Expo to introduce its next-generation battery modules, combining improved performance with full compatibility. The new high-energy and high-power NMC solutions retain the proven enclosure, racking and battery management system of the Octopus Series, enabling straightforward upgrades without changes to system interfaces.
CCO Walter van der Pen commented, “We are excited to launch our next-generation NMC modules. Through our improved cell-to-pack design, we have increased the energy density of our high-energy module with 12,5% (kWh/m3), and our high-power module with 32% (kWh/m3), delivering higher performance and greater efficiency within the same footprint”
The enhanced modules deliver higher energy density and power output while maintaining their familiar design for shipowners and integrators. First projects featuring the new high-power module have already been secured, underlining strong market demand.
EST-Floattech is exhibiting at Booth 6070.

REGENT Craft announces joint development project
REGENT is proud to announce a joint development project with Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL), and Lloyd’s Register to establish certification and operational approval pathways for Seagliders in Japan. This is a critical milestone in turning commercial deployment from vision to reality in Japan.
Commenting at the show, Dan Holmes, head of international certification and risk at the company, said, “Being here at AMT, one can really feel the buzz of excitement around all the great new technologies and advancements in the maritime sector. The expo and the conference halls are giving us unprecedented access to suppliers, service providers and industry connections in electrification, advanced marine sensors and decision-making technologies. Critically, it gives us the ability to showcase what we are doing here at REGENT to push the dial forward on maritime technology and decarbonized maritime transportation networks.”

Echandia launches Echandia Core
Echandia has launched Echandia Core at the expo. This marine battery system is designed to accelerate adoption of LTO technology in fully electric and hybrid vessels. It delivers the safety, long lifetime and predictable performance of LTO while addressing a key barrier: upfront cost.
Magnus Eriksson, CEO of Echandia, commented, “LTO has always made a very strong case when you look at total cost of ownership. Its long lifetime, fast charge and discharge capability, and low degradation are exactly what many marine operators need. What we are doing with Echandia Core is lowering the upfront cost barrier, so more projects can access those lifecycle benefits from day one.”
