In this exclusive interview filmed on the show floor at Advanced Maritime Technology Expo 2026, Seam sales director John Roger Nesje talks about the company’s journey from working with small batteries for peak shaving, to full electric, to more segments, to fully electric bigger vessels. He also discusses the hurdles facing the industry.

“The main challenge today is available electricity at the quayside. If we had more electricity at the quayside, there would be more shipowners taking the step to full electric,” he explained.

Watch the video to find out more about Seam’s current projects and how the company has evolved over the past decade, or ask them in person at Booth 8040.

It’s not too late to attend the show! Register here for your FREE pass to Advanced Maritime Technology Expo, which runs until June 18 at RAI Amsterdam
