Marine Charging Point (MCP), headquartered in Finland, is at Electric & Hybrid Marine Expo North America to talk about its EV charging and monitoring solutions that can be installed on board electric and hybrid ferries and other vessels.

MCP’s innovative solutions offer flexibility, making them compatible with existing fleets through retrofitting or tailored for new-builds. The heart of the EV charging and monitoring system is the CYAN central control system, which was developed according to the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) and Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) guidelines. It empowers crews to monitor and manage the EV charging process, prioritizing safety through integration in the IAS and early-warning systems as well as efficiency through integration in PMS and dynamic load management systems.

Oscar Sandberg, CEO of Marine Charging Point, said, “Greetings from Electric & Hybrid Marine Expo in Long Beach. We’re looking forward to meeting ship and port operators, regulatory bodies as well as potential business partners to discuss EV charging technology on board vessels and in ports!

“At the show, we’re showcasing our world-leading CYAN onboard DC charging projects with total power output of 640kW DC. CYAN is a leading product for installing EV charging on board ferries, currently being rolled out in the Nordics, the UK and Australia. CYAN has a full set of safety and control features, such as HMI control panels, audible as visible alarm functions for the onboard crew, and integration possibilities to all onboard alarm, automation and power management systems. CYAN also incorporates payment systems as required, both for card payments on board or through online booking, as well as a full suite of online back-end features and functions.”

Electric & Hybrid Marine Expo North America is running at the Long Beach Convention Center in California on March 13 and 14, 2024. Click here to register for your free expo pass.
