Marine equipment supplier Fenquin will unveil its new Vetus E-Line electric propulsion technology at the 2022 Sydney International Boat Show.
Designed for sail and power boats up to 11m long, the inboard electric propulsion system is available in three power outputs – 5kW, 7kW and 10kW – and enables silent, zero-emissions maritime travel. The compact electric systems have been designed to fit existing propulsion foundation and propeller shaft installations.
The E-Line motor comes equipped with a smart, water-cooled 48V controller designed specifically for the needs of electric boating. This enables users to charge the battery bank with a 24V charger.
The 48V system is linked and controlled by a Vetus-supplied multifunction display (MFD) that ensures compatibility and easy onboard integration for NMEA2000 electric propulsion. Using the Vetus CANverter, the V-CAN line can be connected to an NMEA2000 CANbus line.
