RAD Propulsion has formed a strategic partnership with Charged Marine to support its expansion into the North American electric marine propulsion market.
The agreement follows RAD Propulsion’s opening of a new office in Charleston, South Carolina, in late 2025. Under the partnership, Charged Marine will provide market development, business engagement and go-to-market support to help grow RAD’s commercial presence across the United States and Canada.
The collaboration will focus on building strategic relationships, supporting pilot deployments and increasing awareness of RAD’s electric propulsion systems across recreational, commercial and workboat sectors. Charged Marine will assist with introductions to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), fleet operators and marina partners as RAD develops its US-based manufacturing, product development and sales teams.
Simon Payne, sales director at RAD Propulsion, said, “North America represents a significant growth opportunity for RAD Propulsion. As demand for zero-emission marine solutions continues to grow, it’s critical that we have strong local expertise on the ground. Charged Marine brings unique industry knowledge, especially related to infrastructure and trusted relationships that will help us engage OEMs and operators more effectively.”
RAD Propulsion’s electric propulsion systems are already deployed in several international markets, with the company targeting further adoption in North America as demand for zero-emission marine technology grows.
Ollie Danner, the founder of Charged Marine, said, “RAD Propulsion has established itself as a technology leader in electric marine propulsion. Our role is to support RAD’s North American strategy by facilitating introductions, advancing pilot opportunities, and helping convert market interest into long-term commercial relationships.”
Initial work under the agreement will include outreach to OEMs and commercial operators, along with demonstrations and pilot programs aimed at validating demand and supporting wider adoption of electric propulsion systems in the region.
