Electric & Hybrid Marine Technology International magazine, the maritime industry’s leading publication covering all aspects of marine decarbonization, has officially rebranded as Advanced Maritime Technology International. The move reflects the sector’s ongoing technological evolution, as well as the increasing role of electrification, autonomy, digital systems, infrastructure and regulation in the future of a truly modern and future-ready marine industry.

The move also reflects and complements the announcement that Electric & Hybrid Marine Expo and Conference, and Autonomous Ship – two of the maritime industry’s most established specialist event brands – have officially rebranded as Advanced Maritime Technology. This single, integrated mega-event brings together and expands on more than a decade of industry-leading exhibitions and conferences, unifying them under a future-focused umbrella that mirrors how marine technology is now developed, deployed and commercialized in the real world.

Advanced Maritime Technology International magazine will continue to lead the way in covering this innovative, fast-moving sector, working in concert with the new event to showcase the latest in marine technology. The industry-leading Electric & Hybrid Marine Awards will also be rebranded as the Advanced Maritime Technology International Awards, and will continue to celebrate the latest achievements across the sector.

Matt Ross, editor-in-chief of Advanced Maritime Technology International, remarked, “For several years, we’ve been broadening and expanding the scope of the magazine to match the incredible advances taking place across the maritime sector. What started out back in 2013 as a publication that focused largely on powertrains and batteries has now become an industry-spanning title that covers everything from the latest vessel announcements and technological breakthroughs, to updates on legislation and new, emerging methodologies aimed at reducing the environmental impact of the marine sector – at sea and on land. The new brand not only acknowledges the ever-increasing scope of the industry we cover, but also aligns with our colleagues on the event and conference side, bringing us all together as part of a single, cohesive entity.”

Part of a broader, integrated event platform

Advanced Maritime Technology is a comprehensive B2B expo and conference, structured around four interconnected streams: electrification and hybridization; automation and autonomy; infrastructure; and regulation and finance. This structure enables deep technical engagement while fostering cross-disciplinary insight, reflecting the complexity of modern maritime innovation. As the official publication of the event, Advanced Maritime Technology International will cover every aspect of the industry as it continues its essential march toward a more sustainable future.

Colette Tebbutt, managing director of the show’s organizer, UKi Media & Events, remarked, “This rebrand is a bold statement of intent, and we’re genuinely excited about what comes next. The maritime industry is entering a new era in which technology is conceived, developed and deployed collaboratively. Shipowners, ports, regulators and innovators are moving in lockstep toward a shared future. Advanced Maritime Technology embodies this shift and places the event at the heart of the industry’s next chapter.”
