Dutch company ADS van STIGT and Germany technology company ZF have reaffirmed their partnership, extending a relationship of more than 40 years.

ADS will continue to sell, distribute and maintain ZF marine transmissions, but will expand its portfolio to include rudder propellers, tunnel thrusters and steering systems from the firm, allowing ADS to supply complete, system-integrated propulsion systems for a variety of off-shore applications including fishing, superyachts and workboats. The closer arrangement will also provide ZF with greater access to European markets, in particular the Benelux countries.

“ZF’s technological expertise is a pledge that the company has delivered on, day after day, for more than 40 years. It is a group that we are proud to collaborate with,” commented Dave Plug, managing director of ADS van STIGT.

“The partnership with ADS has been extremely beneficial for ZF over the course of more than 40 years. We are pleased to be opening a new chapter in our shared history with this portfolio expansion,” said Andre Körner, director of the commercial and fast ship product line, ZF.
