Corvus Energy and BYD Energy Storage have signed a strategic cooperation agreement to advance the development of next-generation maritime battery technology.
The agreement builds on a memorandum of understanding signed in December 2025 and formalizes the next phase of collaboration between the two companies. It focuses on the co-development of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery systems for marine applications.
Fredrik Witte, CEO of Corvus Energy, said, “This agreement accelerates our ability to deliver highly competitive LFP solutions at scale.”
He added that the collaboration would “reduce system cost significantly while maintaining the safety and performance standards this industry needs.”
The companies said the partnership will cover areas including technology development, resource sharing and market expansion. It will also support research and development, certification and large-scale deployment of high-rate LFP battery systems for maritime use.
The agreement was signed during a ceremony at the China International Battery Fair (CIBF) in Shenzhen, where representatives from both companies were present.
