EXPO NEWS | DAY 2: New exhibitor offers ‘one-stop battery shop’

First-time exhibitor Ampherr is showing visitors at Electric & Hybrid Marine Expo Europe its range of lithium batteries, which it says are extremely safe and reliable, making them a good fit for sustainable and zero-emission marine applications. The company also provides an energy management system, inverter and other electric and electronic auxiliary power components as a turnkey solution.

“We are here at the show as we would like to extend our presence in the marine sector,” explained Selman Tosunoglu, CEO and founder of Ampherr AG. “We already provide solutions to the transportation sector, including batteries for buses, trucks and off-highway vehicles, but we also want to help the marine business.

“This is the first time that we’re exhibiting at any kind of marine event. We’re hoping to meet boat manufacturers and shipyards, as well as some private companies designing their own electric boats and seeking subcomponents.

“The battery pack itself is a key component and we believe we can be a one-stop battery shop for them as they can find everything they need in our product portfolio in terms of battery capacity, battery voltage or battery chemistry. Our technology can scale according to the size of the boat or ship, for a wide range of mission profiles. Whatever the scenario, we offer different battery packs from the same shop, where all the products share the same mechanical, electrical and over-the-signal interfaces.”
